Letters from Father Christmas

This  festive edition celebrates the 100th anniversary of the first letter J.R.R. Tolkien sent to his firstborn, John, in 1920.Every December from 1920 to 1943, an envelope would arrive at the Tolkien household bearing a stamp from the North Pole. Inside would be a letter in a strange, spidery handwriting, along with a beautiful colored drawing or painting. These fanciful, heartwarming stories of Father Christmas are now reissued for a new generation to enjoy.
